Second annual Gains and Glory Natural Bodybuilding Competition

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – The second annual Gains and Glory Natural Bodybuilding Competition took place this past Saturday at the North Front Theater in downtown Wilmington. The event, organized by the Organization of Competitive Bodybuilders (OCB), featured a variety of categories, highlighting the incredible talent and dedication of participants.

Among the categories were Bodybuilding and Classic Physique for both men and women. Women also competed in the Bikini and Wellness categories, with a fun twist this year—a new “Best Poser” category.

Competitors were not only vying for trophies but also for the chance to earn an OCB Pro Card, opening the door to further opportunities in the world of competitive bodybuilding.

One of the standout winners from the event was Megan Phillips, who claimed the title of Best Poser. Megan, who began her bodybuilding journey as a way to lose weight, now feels completely at home on stage and among her fellow competitors.

Megan Phillips, Best Poser Winner, shared her thoughts on the experience: “It’s never a negative attitude. It’s not super competitive or catty. We support each other, share our trials, tribulations, and successes. Backstage, we talk about family and kids. It’s a fantastic atmosphere. Today’s show was top notch.”

Winners from the Pro category will move on to the prestigious Yorton Cup Pro World Championships, set to take place in Charlotte this September.
