Second suspect in Campbell Street shooting charged

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police have arrested the second suspect wanted in a June shooting.

21-year-old James Alexander Ray was arrested in Henderson and extradited to Wilmington yesterday.

He appeared in court Wednesday morning.

Police say Ray was involved in the June 7th shooting of Aubrey Redd on Campbell Street. Redd died at the scene.

21-year-old Daquan Daniels was arrested shortly after the shooting.

In July, WLOS reports Ray was arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in Brevard.
