Section of Forest Hills Drive closed for water main repair

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Three blocks of Forest Hills Drive are closed while CFPUA crews work to repair a broken water main.

The CFPUA says the 600, 700, and 800 blocks of Forest Hills Drive between Wrightsville Avenue and Colonial Drive are closed to through traffic. Only local residents will be allowed to drive in that area.

There is a precautionary boil water advisory. The CFPUA says staff is hand delivering the notice to affected residents.

The road is expected to reopen around 7 p.m.
