Section of N.C. 905 in Columbus County to close for most of June

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — A portion of N.C. 905, also known as Seven Creeks Highway, will close to through-traffic starting Monday as crews work to replace a drainage pipe beneath the road.
According to the N.C. Department of Transportation, both state maintenance workers and contracted crews will be making improvements just north of the highway’s junction with N.C. 904 near the Brunswick County border.
The road is expected to remain closed until June 27.
A signed detour will reroute drivers via N.C. 904, Ramsey Ford Road and Big Cypress Road. Drivers are urged to allow extra travel time and use caution near the barricaded construction zone.
