SEEDS of Healing Inc. presents 8th annual Red Ribbion event

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — In recognition of World AIDS Day, which is no longer commemorated by the U.S. government, SEEDS of Healing Inc. will present their eighth annual Red Ribbion event on Saturday.

You can make reservations to the free event which will take place at Hi-Wire Brewing starting at 2 in the afternoon.

Dr. Khadijia Reid with MedNorth Health Center will be the keynote speaker.

According to the press release, southern states account for half of the nation’s new HIV diagnoses annually and the death rate related to HIV/AIDS is also higher int he south.

Contributions from local community members for the National AIDS Memorial’s Quilt will hang on exhibit at the brewery through the holiday season.
