Senator Thom Tillis announces new Chief of Staff

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WWAY) — On Monday, U.S. Senator Thom Tillis announced a longtime advisor and veteran of his communication team will replace his former Chief of Staff.
Daniel Keylin will replace Shil B. Patel who is departing to become President of Ranger Global, a Los Angeles based investments firm run by Alexander von Furstenberg according to a press release.
Keylin has served in various leadership roles with Senator Tillis since his 2014 campaign. His most recent role was Senior Advisor where he helped shape legislative, political, and outreach strategies.
“Daniel Keylin has been a deeply trusted advisor of mine for more than a decade, ”said Senator Tillis. “From playing critical roles in the execution of my 2014 and 2020 campaigns to demonstrating a confident command of legislative policy and communications in the Senate, especially during challenging times, Daniel brings the leadership and strategic mindset that this role demands. We still have a great deal to accomplish on behalf of North Carolina, and Daniel is the right leader to help deliver more results.”
Patel has served Senator Tillis in various capacities over the last nine years, including as Legislative Director and Economic Policy Advisor, before being named Chief of Staff in 2022.
