Several school closures announced due to severe weather

CAPE FEAR, NC (WWAY) — With potentially severe weather on the way, several area school districts have announced closures for Monday:

  • New Hanover County Schools will have a remote learning day for students.
  • Whiteville City Schools will have a remote learning day.
  • Bladen County Schools will have an asynchronous remote learning day for students.
  • Pender County Schools will move to remote learning.
  • Columbus County Schools will shift to remote learning.
  • Brunswick County Schools will be closed
  • Cape Fear Community College will shift to remote learning
  • Brunswick Community College and all campus locations will be closed.
  • Bladen County Community College will be closed.
  • Robeson County has closed all of its schools and facilities, and cancelled all after-school programs.
  • UNCW says it is monitoring the forecast for now
