Shallotte receives $250K Grant from CAMA for riverwalk project

SHALLOTTE, NC (WWAY) — The town of Shallotte received a $250,000 grant from CAMA for its proposed riverwalk project.

Mayor Walt Eccard said the town is excited about this opportunity.

Eccard said they hope to begin construction on the first phase of the riverwalk in spring of 2018. He said the riverwalk portion is about $1.5 million and the whole project is $85 million.

He said the project will be done in several phases.
