Shallotte town leaders break ground at Mulberry Street Park

SHALLOTTE, NC (WWAY)–Soon Shallotte residents and visitors will have a new park. Thursday, town leaders broke ground on the Mulberry Street Park. The ten acre park is part of a large revitalization plan for the town.

Mayor Walter Eccard led the ceremony but he was joined by aldermen Alan Lewis and Larry Harrelson.

Phase one of the project is set to be finished this May.
