Sharks to host playoff game Wednesday after Monday split with Marlins
MOREHEAD CITY, NC (WWAY) — The Morehead City Marlins edged Wilmington 4-3 in the first game of a doubleheader on Monday. The Wilmington Sharks won the second game 1-0.
Wilmington will host the Wilson Tobs on Wednesday in the Coastal Plain League playoffs. Tickets for Wednesday’s playoff game are on sale. Unused tickets from regular season will be honored. Season ticket holders can purchase their tickets at the gate. Host family passes will be honored.
If the Sharks win on Wednesday they will play the winner of the Peninsula Pilots vs. Morehead City Marlins. The higher seed on Friday will host. If Peninsula wins they’ll host. If the Marlins win on Wednesdasy the Wilmington/Wilson winner from Wednesday will host on Friday.
