Fatal shooting in Walnut Hills community
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting in the Walnut Hills Community.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a shots fired call at 41 Stoney Road in Castle Hayne just before 2 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Deputies located 31-year-old Dontae Nixon at his residence, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.
