SkyWatch asking public to sponsor a meal for baby birds

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Skywatch Bird Rescue is asking for your help to make sure two baby birds have enough to eat.
The non-profit says these two nesting Mississippi Kites lost their parents and their home when their nest tree was cut down.
With kites being primarily insectivores, the organization’s need for bus has drastically increased for the remainder of the summer.
Skywatch says each of them will go through tens-of-thousands of bugs during their time with them.
The group is asking for donations of worms and bugs to help feed the birds.
They have options listed here or live bugs can be found at most local pet stores.
Donations can be dropped off or shipped to 3600 Lynn Ave, Castle Hayne, NC 28429 anytime.
