Crews investigate cause of morning fire at Duck and Dive


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Fire Department responded to a structure fire at Duck and Dive on Dock Street this morning.

Assistant Chief Tom Robinson said the call came in at 9:01 a.m. and the first truck was on the scene at 9:04 a.m.

Fire crews said they saw light smoke when they first arrived. They say they were able to extinguish the fire and get it until control within minutes. Crews add there was minor fire damage and moderate smoke damage to the building.

No one was injured. The reason for the fire in still under investigation.

The portion of Dock Street in front of Duck and Dive is currently closed.
