Snow forecast pushes back basketball state playoffs for some area schools

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)- The high school basketball state playoffs will start on Tuesday all around the state. Some games will be played in our area on Tuesday, but a handful of schools have decided to push games back to Wednesday instead. See our list below.

Status of local schools systems for Tuesday, Feb. 24

Bladen County Schools: Close Tuesday
Brunswick County Schools: Closed Tuesday
Columbus County Schools: Schools will start at 10am
Duplin County Schools: Two-hour delay for students and staff
Onslow County Schools: Two-hour delay Tuesday
New Hanover County Schools: Closed Tuesday
Pender County Schools: Two-hour delay Tuesday
Whiteville City Schools: Two-hour delay Tuesday
