Southport Ferry and Bald Head Island Ferry suspend operations due to weather

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Ferry service is being suspended to and from Brunswick County.

The Southport/Fort Fisher Ferry and Bald Head Island ferry announced the changes Tuesday afternoon.

This is due to the worsening weather across the region.

Both ferry systems anticipate regular operation on Wednesday.
