SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — The city of Southport hosted their third annual Food Truck Rodeo at the Historic Fort Johnston – Southport Museum and Visitors Center.

Numerous food trucks lined Bay Street offering anything from a meal to a sweet treat. There was funnel cake, kettle corn, s’mores, coffee, seafood, snacks, and much more.

In addition to food, there was also a band for people to enjoy live music while they dug into their food.
Southport native Sophia Ordonez and her friend Caroline Adams grabbed lunch but are looking forward to dessert.

“My mom told me about the chocolate and S’mores last year when she came to the food truck rodeo and we just thought it would be a fun thing to do while she’s visiting me,” Ordonez said.

“Yeah! I really like it; I like the small-town food trucks and the small atmosphere. I told her it reminds me of a fair,” Adams said.

They both encouraged people to check it out in the future if you enjoy being out and about and live music.
