Staff prepares for Adult Health Clinic closure
BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — Brunswick County Health Services staff are working on moving patients to new facilities as they prepare to close the Adult Health Clinic.
The clinic that has been open for about ten years will close on June 1st.
David Stanley, Brunswick County Health director, says the clinic in closing because there are more options for patients and they do not have the money to keep it open.
“Now that we’ve got the good partners that we have in this county from these other practices this is the time we feel is it would be good to just transition them to other practices, our patients,” said Stanley.
In the last year Stanley says the clinic has served anywhere from 800 to 1,000 patients. There are five similar clinics in Brunswick County patients can go to.
No new patients can be seen, and existing patients with questions about the transition can call 910-253-2360, or call 910-253-2250 to obtain copies of medical records.
