STARBASE secures federal funding to remain open

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Department of Defense STARBASE programs in Charlotte and Wilmington secure federal funding and will remain open.
Both locations had been preparing for a reduction-in-force and a temporary suspension of classes after March 31 due to funding uncertainties.
According to their Facebook post, a federal budget Congress passed two weeks ago, signed by President Trump, included funding for STARBASE.
With federal funding now in place, STARBASE will continue serving students through at least June 30, with hopes to extend through the remainder of the federal fiscal year and beyond.
