StarNews adds special Azalea Festival segment in Wednesday’s paper

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Our friends at the StarNews will have a special section in their paper Wednesday featuring all you need to know about the Azalea Festival.

Each year before the festival they preview the events from A to Z covering the concerts, home tours, garden tours, and more.

They will also highlight special events and guests that you can only do or see at a specific time over the next week.

“There will be 16 pages of coverage,” said Editor Jeff Hidek. “The complete schedule is in there, but we try to pull out some tidbits that people might not know about some of the people and places that they will experience this week at the Azalea Festival.”

Hidek says this is the largest party that the Cape Fear has every year.

He says whether you love it or hate it the festival is unavoidable, but there is a little bit of something for everyone.

The special section can be found on the stand in Wednesday’s paper.
