Stolen e-bike leads deputies to drug bust, multiple arrests in Bladen County

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office says several people have been arrested after deputies recovered a stolen e-bike and uncovered narcotics during an investigation in East Arcadia.

According to Sheriff Jim McVicker, the case began when the Wilmington Police Department notified Bladen County investigators about a stolen e-bike from their jurisdiction. Deputies with the Criminal and Narcotics Division tracked the stolen property to a home in East Arcadia.

Once the e-bike was found, deputies secured the residence and discovered evidence of narcotics. A wanted subject, Damon James Mullins, was located on the scene and arrested. A search warrant was then executed, leading to the seizure of illegal drugs and the arrest of several others.

Damon Mullins of East Arcadia was served with multiple outstanding felony warrants and probation violations. He is also charged with Possession of Stolen Goods/Property.

Keil Sands of Elizabethtown is charged with Possession of Stolen Goods/Property. Sands is currently on probation for narcotic-related offenses.

Tonnie Gregg of Elizabethtown is charged with Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, Manufacture Schedule II Controlled Substance, Maintaining a Dwelling for Keeping and Selling Controlled Substances, and Alter/Steal/Destroy Criminal Evidence.

Freddie Lacewell Jr. of Elizabethtown is charged with Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, Manufacture Schedule II Controlled Substance, and Alter/Steal/Destroy Criminal Evidence.
