Stolen Dog Reunites With Pender County Family

Chrissy, a 13 year old border collie mix was stolen in January of 2007.
Rebecca Wolfe never gave up hope though.
It’s been a long year and a half, but at least there’s a happy ending
with the reunion of Chrissy and her family in Rocky Point.

Rebecca Wolfe: “this is the first time I’ve ever heard of a dog being kidnapped /
dognapped and that she’s actually come home. She wouldn’t be here if it
weren’t for a lot of people. A lot of animal activists worked hard to
bring her home, ever since they found out she was kidnapped and who she
was kidnapped by.”

A man who used to live in Rocky Point, James Willis whose known to be
an animal rights acitivist, stole Chrissy..
In fact he was found guilty in a Pender County court 3 months ago.
and to make a long story short, a woman in Ohio accepted the stolen
dog as hers.

Rebecca Wolfe adds: “there’s still enough evidence out there that she knew she was a
kidnapped dog and even the people in Ohio were very familiar with this
lady with other animals she’s had.”

Rebecca Wolfe claims Chrissy was stolen because she’s an “outside” dog,
but she believes Chrissy was crated in Ohio, now that she’s back home in North Carolina she’s an outside dog again: ” she’s always been a part of our house. When she was gone it was like
there was a part of all of us missing.”

But now Chrissy is back where she belongs, on the porch.
