STORMTRACK 3: Heavy rainfall threat ending in southeastern NC
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The threat of heavy rain has ended in the WWAY NewsChannel 3 viewing area. Friday will bring a new month and a new weather pattern. We’ll feel dry, cool air through the weekend and continuing into next week.
Along the coast, seas are high at 5 to 7 feet. A small craft advisory is in effect until Friday night. Some coastal flooding could occur, and the risk for rip currents is very high.
Although the rain has stopped, the river will continue to rise and peak on Sunday night, so do be cautious while driving on roads near a water source.
