Study shows where wealth has increased the most in North Carolina

NORTH CAROLINA (WWAY) — A new study from SmartAsset analyzes the places in North Carolina which have experienced the most wealth generation over the last ten years, and Brunswick and Pender counties made the list.
The study measured the increase in median income, investment income and home value growth in each county to find the places where wealth has increased the most.

- Orange County with $228,042 median home value growth, $23,636 median income growth, $28,000 investment income growth, and a 47.45 wealth index growth.
- Wake County with $244,040 median home value growth, $22,465 median income growth, $18,000 investment income growth, and a 45.93 wealth index growth.
- Union County with $247,952 median home value growth, $22,573 median income growth, $15,000 investment income growth, and a 45.85 wealth index growth.
- Currituck County with $252,468 median home value growth, $22,257 median income growth, $3,000 investment income growth, and a 44.46 wealth index growth.
- Chatham County with $276,356 median home value growth, $19,700 median income growth, $8,000 investment income growth, and a 43.60 wealth index growth.
