Surf City camper deemed total loss after fire

SURF CITY, NC (WWAY) — The Surf City Fire Department is investigating a fire that completely engulfed a home last night on the Virginia Creek Campground.

Surf City Firefighters said they were dispatched around 6:30 p.m. last night to the camper. Fire officials said it was a total loss when they got there.

No injuries were reported.

The Surf City Fire Marshal is still trying to determine the cause. He said the family is staying with relatives in the area now.
