Surf City Fire Department responds to early morning structure fire
SURF CITY, NC (WWAY) — The Town of Surf City Fire Department was dispatched early Monday morning to the report of a structure fire.
Upon their arrival in the 400 block of North Shore Drive, crews encountered heavy fire conditions at the rear of the structure.
Two adjacent structures sustained damage as a result of the fire.
The fire was fully extinguished but crews remain on the scene to assist with overhaul, cleanup, and an investigation.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
Multiple agencies assisted in the fire, including Topsail Beach Fire Department, North Topsail Beach Fire Department, Pender EMS and Fire, and the Surf City Police Department.
The cause of the fire has not been released.
