Surf City Police Department serves search warrant at Island Smoke in Surf City

SURF CITY, NC (WWAY) – The Surf City Police Department has executed a search warrant at Island Smoke in Surf City.

The search happened at 332 N New River Drive Surf City NC, 28445.

According to the SCPD, during the search, law enforcement officers seized a large amount of illegal items from the business. The investigation had revealed that Island Smoke was involved in the sale of narcotics, including products being sold to underage individuals.

Also, the business has been the subject of numerous complaints from concerned citizens, further corroborating the illegal activity taking place on the premises.

The business owner, Dante Belandres, currently has pending arrest warrants for charges related to the illegal sales.
