Surf City to auction off old beach access flags

SURF CITY, NC (WWAY) — You have a chance to own a piece of Surf City history.

The Town of Surf City says it will be part of an auction for retired beach access flags, each with its own unique charm.

With quality ratings of “Better,” “Good,” or “Fair,” you’ll have the chance to bid on 99 distinctive flags.

The auction runs through October, with the first date on Tuesday, October 1.

You can choose to pick up your flag at the Surf City Municipal Complex or have it shipped directly to you.
