Suspect arrested for Saturday morning shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police arrested A Wilmington man Saturday morning for shooting at an occupied vehicle. 

A spokeswoman said police arrested 44-year-old Corey Sneed of Wilmington and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, firearm by felon, firing into an occupied vehicle and discharging a firearm in city limits.

Police said it happened Saturday around 10:30 a.m. near 13th and Ann Streets. A witness told police Sneed yelled out of a car window at the victim and then fired multiple shots striking the victim’s car.

Police arrested Sneed a short time after.

Deputies said he bonded out of the New Hanover County Jail under a $100,000 bond Saturday afternoon
