NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that left a home riddled with bullets earlier this week, according to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives responded to a shooting at a home on Chair Road on Monday, where more than 20 rounds were fired into the home. No injuries were reported.

Over the following two days, the Wilmington Police Department responded to multiple shootings involving large amounts of ammunition being fired. A joint investigation between the sheriff’s office and Wilmington police linked at least one of the Wilmington shootings to the Chair Road incident.

On Wednesday, detectives identified a suspect, Nasir Michael Holliday, 18, and executed multiple search warrants. Holliday was arrested without incident. During the searches, law enforcement says they recovered several firearms, including a stolen handgun with a high-capacity drum-style magazine and a machine gun conversion device known as a “switch.”

Holliday faces multiple felony charges and is currently being held at the New Hanover County Detention Facility without bond.
