UPDATE: Suspects identified in 2 of 3 armed robberies


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police say they’ve arrested suspects in two out of three armed robberies that happened last night and into the overnight.

Police say the incidents started around 9:30 p.m. last night and ended just before 1:30 a.m. this morning. They say just after 9:30 p.m., a man was robbed at gunpoint near the 1200 block of South 6th Street. Police say another armed robbery happened an hour later in the area of 300 block 12th Street. Another man was robbed at gunpoint. The final incident, police say, happened just before 1:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of South 3rd Street. Another man was in his car when approached by armed suspects. In that robbery, police say the victim was forced to drive back to his home to get more money from his house.

Police say Jamall Johnson, 20, Jonathan Jenrette, 31, and Adrian Womble, 22, are facing charges in connection with the first and third robbery incidents. There have been no arrests in the second robbery.

No injuries were reported.
