#TBT: Southport Ferry

SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — Friday we’re heading to Southport for the #ThisIsThePlace Roadtrip, so today we’re throwing it back to the Southport Ferry which connects Brunswick and New Hanover Counties.

The NC DOT established the Southport Ferry landing in 1966 and it provides a 35 minute straight shot between Pleasure Island and Southport.

The ferry is one of the seven ferries running in the NC Dot system.
