Team of the Week – South Columbus Stallions

TABOR CITY, NC (WWAY) — The South Columbus Stallions wanted to get off to a good start on homecoming night Friday and they did.In fact South Columbus beat Red Springs 39-22. It’s the 5th win in a row for the team that wears silver and black. “We wanted to come out and play really strong at home,” South Columbus head coach Russell Dove told WWAY. “We hadn’t been at home in awhile. The kids played good. Went up 32-0. It was probably the most balanced offense and defense game we’ve played for about 3 and half quarters all year.”

“It was a good win. It was a big win,” South Columbus senior Dennis Leggett said. “We needed that. I mean we played hard on defense and offense and we got the job done.”
