Teen accused of breaking into classroom, having knives on campus

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Deputies with the Pender County Sheriff’s Office say a teen is facing charges in connection with a classroom break-in.

Deputies said Brennan Bartlett, 16, broke into a Pender High School classroom last month. They say a classroom and items inside the room were discovered damaged May 29.

Deputies said when they determined Bartlett was the suspect in the break-in, they also found two pocket knives on the teen. Bartlett is facing charges including misdemeanor breaking and entering, misdemeanor damage to personal property and misdemeanor weapon on school property.

Bartlett’s first court appearance is set for June 18.
