Teen arrested after girl says he raped her, then his friends asked for ‘a turn’

A 17-year-old from Myrtle Beach is charged with criminal sexual conduct and pointing and presenting a firearm after a Murrells Inlet girl says he raped her and then his friends, who were standing outside the door, asked for a turn and all taunted her with guns, according to a police report.

Joshua Allen Hughes was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Tuesday, June 12, according to online booking records.

His arrest comes after, according to a police report, a girl told police she was raped at a home near Myrtle Beach the night of June 6.

The 16-year-old girl says she was picked up by Hughes after she had a conversation on Snapchat with him. The report says Hughes was “accompanied” by two other teen boys who were riding in another car.
