Teen charged in Northchase vehicle break-ins

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Deputies with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office said a 16-year-old is facing charges in connection with thefts from unlocked vehicles.

Deputies said James Ashley Holleman, 16, was arrested after 2 a.m. in the Northchase area after they said they got a call about a suspicious vehicle in the area. They said after a brief foot chase, Holleman was found with several items stolen from the area, including electronics and a handgun.

Holleman is facing a larceny and breaking and entering motor vehicle charge.
