Teen charged with breaking and entering

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A teen is in jail after being accused of breaking into three cars and a house.

New Hanover County Deputies said Zachary Chase Thompson, 18, is facing charges including first degree burglary.

Deputies said homeowners woke up at a home on the 300 block of McQuillan Drive around 1 a.m. Wednesday and found Thompson inside.

Deputies said he ran off but was found breaking into a car in the 400 block of the same street.

No one was hurt.
