Texas murder suspect arrested in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A man who was wanted for murder in Texas was arrested in Wilmington on Wednesday.
According to the Abilene Police Department, Ivonyai Lamb, 21, is accused of killing a 46-year-old man at an apartment complex in Abilene on February 7th.
Lamb was caught thanks to a coordinated multi-jurisdictional investigation by the U.S. Marshals Service out of Wilmington and the New Hanover County SWAT team.
He was found on Wednesday at a home in the 300 block of Passage Gate Way, near Ashley High School.
Lamb will be extradited to Abilene to face the murder charge.
