The 5th Annual Shrimp Dip Polar Plunge in North Topsail

Topsail Beach, NC (WWAY) — You can start 2026 with a splash in the ocean at The Shrimp Dip in North Topsail Beach.

Many will brave the chilly Atlantic for a good cause at The Shrimp Dip, the annual polar plunge event hosted by the Rotary Club of Sneads Ferry.

The event starts on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2026, and shirt sales open at 10:00 AM, with one hundred percent of shirt sales and day-of donations supporting the Down Syndrome Network of Onslow & Carteret Counties (DSNOCC).

The Dip will take place at Noon at North Topsail Beach Beach Access 31 (Beach Access across from Beach Bum’s) at 4030 Island Drive, North Topsail Beach.
