The City of Wilmington celebrates the completion of the Fifth Avenue Improvements Project.

Wilmington, NC (WWAY) — At 11 a.m. today the City of Wilmington will celebrate the completion of the Fifth Avenue Improvements Project between Market and Greenfield streets.

The joint City and Cape Fear Public Utility Authority project brings new water and sewer mains, drainage fixes, upgraded sidewalks, new bicycle lanes, and fresh landscaping with plantings in the median. ️

There will be parking available at the Rusty Nail at 1310 S. 5th Ave.
The Cape Fear Cyclists will be on site for an inaugural bike ride along the new bike lanes.
