The downtown Wilmington Waffle House has closed

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Waffle House in downtown Wilmington has closed their doors permanently.

According to Allison Ballard with the StarNews, the restaurant at 255 North Front Street posted a sign on the door saying “it has been a great pleasure to serve all of you.”

There was also a notice from the city saying the property is under a non-residential structure code violation.

The downtown location opened in 2018 and was one of eight in New Hanover and Brunswick Counties.
