The Fisk Jubilee Singers coming to UNCW’s Kenan auditorium

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Fisk Jubilee Singers will be coming to UNCW’s Kenan Auditorium in February.

The vocal ensemble will take the stage on Friday, February 20th, at 7:30 p.m.

The Fisk Jubilee Singers present music born from resilience, faith, and hope.

By 1872, the Jubilee Singers performed at the World Peace Festival in Boston, and later that year were invited by President Ulysses S. Grant to sing at the White House. They raised funds to construct Fisk University’s first permanent building, Jubilee Hall.
