The show must go on: Final Downtown Sundown Concert moves to Saturday night
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – Tropical Storm Hermine caused a change in schedule for this summer’s final Downtown Sundown Concert Series.
Instead of happening tonight, the concert has been moved to Saturday night. Departure, a Journey tribute band, will still close out the season.
The band takes the stage at 8:00 p.m., a local band will open the show at 6:00 p.m.
Like all Downtown Sundown concerts, Saturday’s show is free. The concert will be in the parking lot at the corner of Water and Princess Streets.
Proceeds from the $1.00 wristbands that enable people to buy beer or wine will benefit Cape Fear River Watch.
The concert is scheduled to wrap up around 10:00 p.m.
