Wilmington, NC (WWAY) — Before you travel with your family this holiday season you may want to get a little peace of mind to make sure your ride is safe and secure for your children.

The Wilmington Fire Department will be hosting a free holiday car seat check on Thursday, December 18, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Burlington Store parking lot (4715 New Centre Drive).

Certified technicians will give your child’s car seat a quick safety check and if you can’t make it out to the event you can drop by any Wilmington Fire Department station at any time for a free car seat check, as long as crews are not responding to an active call.
