The YMCA to host Tri-Span Race through historic downtown Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The YMCA is hosting the Tri-Span Race, the oldest three bridge 10K course on the east coast.

The race will include two lengths; the 5K and the 10K.

Courses will go through downtown Wilmington and alongside the Cape Fear Riverwalk.

It will be held on Saturday, July 12th and contestants should meet at 10 Cowan Street, River Front Park Amphitheater in Wilmington, NC.

The 5K race starts at 7:10AM and is $50 for adults, $30 for ages 5 to 18, and will go through downtown Wilmington.

Meanwhile, the 10k race starts at 7:00AM and is $60 for adults, $35 for ages 5 to 18, and the course will include downtown Wilmington and three bridges.

There will also be virtual events, including the Virtual 5K for $50 and the Virtual 10K for $60, with both starting at 12Am.

This event supports LIVESTRONG at the YMCA and honors those impacted by cancer.
