WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The American Cancer Society’s third annual ‘Shuck Cancer Wilmington’ will take place this Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Bluewater Waterfront Grill.

This celebration brings together community and business leaders for an evening of food, drinks, networking and a live auction.

Individual tickets are $100 or $175 for a couple’s ticket.

Money raised from the event will help fund cancer research and support cancer patients with life-saving programs, like transportation to appointments, lodging near treatment and a 24/7 support line.

Guests will enjoy a festive evening overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway, with the event featuring live entertainment, a variety of food pairings from local restaurants, as well as oysters, complimentary beer/wine with a cash bar, chances to win prizes, and live & silent auctions.

Former Carolina Hurricanes announcer Chuck Kaiton will emcee the event.

Attendees are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the event in partnership with the Good Shepherd Center in Wilmington.
