This week best time to buy holiday travel tickets

UNDATED (ABC) — Are you planning that big holiday trip yet?  According to the experts at Orbitz, this is the week to buy the cheapest tickets for holiday travel.

Thanksgiving flights are predicted to hit their lowest prices Tuesday, October 6; Christmas flights on Friday, October 9 and New Years flights on Saturday, October 10.

Experts warn, though, not to get too tangled up in waiting for the “perfect” fare.  If you see a well-priced flight, snap it up.  In all likelihood, it won’t get much cheaper.
