#ThisIsThePlace: Local man paints his views of Southport

SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — Jim McIntosh is from the area and has been painting for over 45 years.

Earlier this week, McIntosh was near the waterfront doing what he does best.

McIntosh says he enjoy paintings all of the things that makes Southport and this area so beautiful.

He says he uses watercolors to depict all the landmarks, restaurants, big events, and the people who are around enjoying it.
