Thousands raised for Carolina Beach business owner battling COVID-19
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The community is rallying around a Carolina Beach woman and business owner suffering from COVID-19.
Janeen Williams owns Majik Beanz and is known to be a big supporter of charities on the island. Because of that, the community is giving back to her in this time of need.
Over the weekend, Pleasure Island Habitat held a BBQ fundraiser to raise money for Williams. The event netted more than $4,100.
