Three Bridge Tour takes riders across coastal Brunswick County for charity

OCEAN ISLE BEACH, NC — The Rotary Club of South Brunswick Islands is gearing up for the sixth annual Three Bridge Tour this weekend, a scenic bicycle ride across Brunswick County that supports a good cause. The event offers participants various route options and aims to raise funds for the Boys and Girls Home in Lake Waccamaw.

The Three Bridge Tour showcases the county’s coastal bridges, offering three different rides: a 17-mile route over the Sunset Beach Bridge, a 34-mile ride over the Ocean Isle Beach Bridge, and a 67-mile challenge over the Holden Beach Bridge. This format allows riders of all skill levels, from seasoned cyclists to those participating for the first time, to enjoy the scenic views.

The event welcomes all types of bicycles, including e-bikes and mountain bikes, encouraging everyone to participate and enjoy the ride.

“The purpose is to ride your bike, get outside, and enjoy our bridges and beaches,” said organizer TJ Spivey.

This year, attendees will meet at Ocean Isle Beach Park, a change from prior years. Participants can register for the event through the official website, which includes detailed information about the event’s history, routes, and other essential details.

Registration is open until 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, allowing for last-minute sign-ups.
