Timeline set for CFCC president search
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College trustees hope to have a new president for the school in place late this summer.
Yesterday trustees voted to officially start their search for a new president and lay out a timeline, CFCC says.
Board of Trustees Vice Chair William Turner will chair the search committee. The search process will follow the guidance from the NC Community College System Office.
The job opening will be advertised starting Monday with a May 22 deadline to apply. Trustees plan to meet May 26 to review applications. From there they hope to hold interviews in June before submitting a list of finalists to the NC Community College System for review and then the final selection.
The CFCC presidency has been open since January when Ted Spring resigned. He says the move came under pressure from trustees, who he has since sued.
Amanda Lee has been serving as interim president since shortly after Spring’s departure.
